The Orphan Works Act is a proposed law which basically states that an artist has no rights to their own work. This is not an exaggeration. If this law is passed it means any one or company may use your work without permission and for free and not suffer any consequences. After you create something, it is no longer yours. This affects artists world wide and not just in the U.S.
